YOGA ART

WITH FRANZISKA KATHARINA RÖHRS

Forget about perfect yoga poses and societal norms; this is your time to let loose. Think of your body as a paintbrush, and each yoga pose as a stroke on your canvas. Embrace the messy process, the wobbles, and imperfections. This is your space to move, twist, and turn without worrying about what anyone else thinks. It's time to liberate yourself on the mat and let the art of yoga become a celebration of your unique movement.

What you can expect:

  • guided yin & yang flow,

  • on natural canvas,

  • with white paint on it,

  • it will be sticky, slippery, and messy.

FAQs

What should I wear? - Your whole body will have contact with white paint. Therefore we recommend wearing clothes that cover as little of your skin as you feel comfortable with. We also recommend wearing tight clothes for physical activity such as shorts and tank top, or sports bra. The paint is water based and should wash out easily but please wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.

Can I take a shower afterwards? - Unfortunately, showers are not available at the venue. However, we will provide you with a small warm wet towel to wipe off most of the paint and you are welcome to use the restroom too to freshen up.

Should I bring anything? - Please bring a change of clothes, maybe even underwear, as the paint is wet and make sure you have something to put your wet clothes in after the class. Once the paint dries, it becomes powdery.

Will I be able to take the painting home with me? - We will paint on a big piece of natural canvas with white paint. This canvas will be reused over and over again in our yoga art sessions, evolving together with our concept. Eventually, the canvases will be sewed together to create space dividers and curtains representing the evolution of the Sensuary. You will be the co-creator of the Sensuary tapestry.
